Dentures

If you’re missing some or all of your natural teeth, a dental device called dentures can step in to bring back your smile. Dentures not only improve how you look but also make it easier for you to speak clearly and chew your food well, which is good for your digestion.

Partial Dentures – Partial dentures are for folks who’ve lost some, but not all, of their teeth in one area. They fill in the gaps, completing your smile. Plus, they help prevent other teeth from moving around, keeping everything in place.

Complete Dentures – When you’ve lost all your teeth, there are two main ways to get your smile back – complete dentures or dentures over implants. Let’s break it down:

  1. Conventional Dentures: These are put in after your remaining teeth are taken out, and your gums heal over about four to six weeks. It means you’ll be without teeth during this healing time.
  2. Immediate Dentures: These are made before your remaining teeth are removed. You get them right after the extraction, so you don’t have to be without teeth during the healing phase. Later on, after your gums have healed and settled, some adjustments are made to ensure your dentures fit just right.
